A New Season for Our Community
Last month, we celebrated one year of Heart Work! As we step into year two, we are happy to share that our team is growing. My name is Kathryne and I’m excited to begin contributing to our blog, sharing my thoughts and energy with this heart-centered community. I bring 12 years experience in elementary education, with a focus on calm, clarity, and intention to support parents, caregivers, and children. In my free time, I like to practice yoga, journal, read, or work on creative projects as small rituals that help me stay grounded. If you’d like to connect with me, please see my contact information below.
Honouring Your Energy
With the holiday season approaching, this is a perfect time to reflect, especially when feeling pulled in many directions. Your energy during pregnancy is valuable, and holiday shopping can involve time, effort, or resources that require careful consideration. Mindful gift-giving can be a gentle way to honour your limits by noticing what feels meaningful and manageable for you.
Slowing Down and Choosing With Awareness
Before making decisions, take a moment to pause and notice what feels comfortable to take on. Give yourself permission to step back if needed and check in with yourself before moving forward. Taking this mindful moment allows you to choose from awareness and give in a way that feels intentional and grounded.
Mindful Check-In
You might quietly consider:
Which choices feel thoughtful without overextending myself?
Am I acting from a place of awareness?
What feels right for me to share right now?
Alternatives Approaches
If shopping feels overwhelming, remember that gift-giving does not have to be expensive or elaborate. You might even consider thoughtful alternatives such as homemade items, heartfelt cards, or shared experiences. Giving from a mindful place creates connection without overextending yourself.
A Gentle Reminder
“I give with intention, honouring my well-being and season of life.”
Use our Mindful Holiday Check-In as a quick guide to help you pause and make choices that feel right for you this holiday season.
